COMPANY INFORMATION

John P. Laborde, Jr. began his professional career at Tidewater, Inc. in 1979. He was involved in regional marine marketing for various branches of the company including the regions of New Orleans and Lafayette, Louisiana, and Houston, Texas.

In 1989, Mr. Laborde moved to Santa Barbara, California to become Tidewater's Area Manager for the West Coast as well as President of Western Boat Operations, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tidewater. There, he started with five vessels under his management, and within five years the subsidiary had grown to operate 25 vessels and generate more than 10% of Tidewater's total net income. Following this success, Mr. Laborde returned to Louisiana in 1994 to become Vice President of Tidewater and to assume the responsibility for a fleet of 120 Offshore Supply Vessels employed in the Gulf of Mexico.

In early 1995, Mr. Laborde left Tidewater to open Laborde Marine, L.L.C. After only two years of operations, Mr. Laborde negotiated the sale of six vessels to Trico Marine. Since the sale, the company has continued to experience steady growth by expanding its diverse fleet and customer base.

In 1998, Laborde Marine began construction of two 210' DP PSV's, the M/V John P. Lab and M/V Red Lab, both of which are a part of the fleet today. Also added to the fleet was the acquisition of a 191' Supply Vessel, the Grayson Lab which was sold in 2008.

After finding success in the U.S./GOM market, Laborde entered into the international market in 2001 by purchasing three OSV’s from Trico in Brazil. Additional vessels have been added to the fleet over the years bringing the count to eight vessels . Laborde maintains offices in Rio de Janerio and Macae.

To meet the increased demand for crewboat services, Laborde Marine formed a new company, Laborde Marine Crewboats, L.L.C. This company started out managing five crewboats in the Gulf of Mexico. Laborde Marine followed that with the acquisition (by related owning companies) of nine (9) 162' crewboats/fast supply vessels within the last two years. The crewboat fleet today consists of 14 crewboats/fast supply vessels covering the shelf and deep water needs. Laborde continues to add to its fleet and is in the process of adding additional equipment.

In June 2007, Peter's brother, Cliffe, joined the Laborde Marine companies. Cliffe was previously employed by Tidewater Inc. as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, from 1992 to June 2007, serving as a member of the Executive Management Committee for 15 years. His responsibilities at Tidewater included corporate administration, corporate compliance, litigation, insurance placements, risk management, contracts, environmental compliance and safety. He was also responsible for human resource management, employee benefits, and the information technology department. Cliffe was also responsible for management of the Offshore Towing Division of Tidewater from 1998 to 2000, and management of Quality Shipyards from 2000 to 2005.

Peter and Cliffe have teamed together and entered into a construction contract with Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. of Panama City, Florida, to construct three "280" class platform supply vessels. The vessels are 260' in length, 60' in breadth, with a depth of 19'6". The vessels are US Flagged, ABS classed, DP-02, SOLAS certified, certificated under SubChapters I & L, and driven by twin stern azimuthing Z-Drives powered by 5,150 horsepower Caterpillar engine packages. The vessels are designed by Aker Marine for work in the deepwater sectors of the world. The first of the vessels, the M/V Jeanne Pierre Lab was delivered in October 2009, the second vessel, the M/V Genie Lab was delivered in December 2009 and finally the M/V Hilda Lab in March 2010.
